This years ambassador is Louise Reed, who has been chosen by the Brighouse Charity Gala Committee and Brighouse Ladies Circle to fulfil the role and represent the community.

Louise Reed is the Founder and CEO of Focus4Hope, a registered charity, based in Brighouse which seeks to provide support for the homeless, elderly, isolated, and vulnerable in West Yorkshire. Founded in 2016, its philosophy of, by the community, for the community, strives to ensure that the needs of all vulnerable people in the local community are met. Focus4Hope, under Louise's guidance, passion and unwavering "can do" attitude has gone on to become a pillar in the local charitable community, with a team of volunteers helping thousands of vulnerable people in the area, as well as refugees in France and from the Ukraine.

Locally, Focus4Hope predominantly works with the elderly, the homeless, those who are fleeing domestic violence, and isolated/lonely individuals in need of support. It also operates a food bank in Brighouse, which delivers dozens of food parcels to people in the community each week. Her next plan is to open a community hub, serving the local community with a food bank, charity shop together with a drop in and support centre

Louise's first day as Brighouse Charity Gala Ambassador will begin with judging the floats in the parade, followed by the ceremony where she takes over from 2019’s Brighouse Charity Gala Ambassador John Whittington. Representatives from Brighouse Ladies Circle and the Brighouse Charity Gala Committee will ensure the rest of Louise’s day is full, including a guided tour of all the stalls.

The Brighouse Charity Gala this year is taking place on Saturday 25th June at Wellholme Park from 11am, so please come along and support Louise and all the worthwhile local charities.
