What’s happening on the day

Handmade Productions are joining our procession making it vibrant and colourful.  Our theme this year is “Brighouse goes Wild”

We will have a range of performances in the arena throughout the afternoon.  There is also a separate dog show arena. 

Dog show

The Dog Show is making a return for 2024 and is being organised by The Happy Dog Training Company

Stall Ideas

There are lots of different ways to raise funds at the Brighouse Charity Gala. These can be run on their own or why not have a couple of different choices to appeal to more people.

Tickets

Free entry this year to the annual Brighouse Charity Gala – NO TICKET IS REQUIRED.

Arena

In the arena we will be having various performances throughout the day. We will have local performers from the majorettes, to cheerleading, music and much more!

Attractions

There are lots of different ways to raise funds at the Brighouse Charity Gala from tombola stalls, hook a duck, and many more. We ask Charities to be creative and provide a range of different stalls on offer.

Procession

The annual Brighouse Charity Gala is preceded by a Gala Procession which travels on a road route between Bethel Street and the Gala site at Lane Head Rec, Brighouse.

The Procession

The procession leaves at 12:00pm from Bethel Street

The annual Brighouse Charity Gala is preceded by a Gala Procession which travels on a road route Brighouse town centre leading up to Lane Head Rec.

In addition to a marching band the procession cavalcade is made up of brightly dressed floats, walking groups of all ages, fancy dress contestants, and majorettes.

We welcome entrants in the procession from all kinds of charity organisations, uniform groups, churches, community groups, sports and activity clubs PLUS local businesses. It costs nothing to enter but donations from businesses are much appreciated as you will benefit from all the free publicity as the procession winds its way along the route.

The current route of the procession is –

We will begin the procession from Bethel Street

Arriving at Lane Head Recreational Ground.

If you are in business you could just include one of your sign written vehicles or build a specific float.

For other groups who are considering entering a float we may well be able to assist with transport if that proves difficult for you to obtain.
